These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of lumberjackjoe.com and to any services provided by Lumberjack Joe (Joe Taylor). By using this website or working with me, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Clients retain rights only to the final approved work as outlined in their individual project agreement.
4. Service Agreements
All commissioned work (design, photography, illustration, art direction or other services) is subject to a written project proposal or quote. This may include:

Scope of work

Deadlines

Deliverables

Fees and payment schedule

Usage rights

Revisions policy
Work does not begin until the proposal is agreed to (in writing or email) and any required deposit is received.
5. Pricing & Payment Terms

Prices are quoted on a per-project basis.

A deposit may be required before work begins.

Remaining balances are payable upon delivery of work or according to the agreed schedule (in 1 month of receiving the invoice.)

Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the UK’s Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
All fees must be paid in full before final files or usage rights are released.
6. Revisions & Changes
Unless otherwise agreed:

Quotes include 2 rounds of revisions

Additional revisions or scope changes may incur extra fees
-
Any major changes after approval of concepts, sketches or imagery will be billed at the agreed hourly/day rate
All changes must be requested in writing.
7. Client Responsibilities
To allow work to proceed smoothly, clients must:

Provide clear direction and required materials (text, logos, assets, briefs)

Approve work promptly
-
Supply accurate information
-
Ensure they own or have rights to any materials provided
The client is responsible for the legality, accuracy and compliance of any content they supply.
8. Project Delivery & Deadlines
I make every reasonable effort to deliver work on time.
However, I am not responsible for delays caused by:

Late client feedback
-
Missing assets
-
Scope changes
-
Technical issues beyond my control
Deadlines may be revised if project requirements change.
9. Usage Rights & Ownership
Ownership of the final deliverables transfers to the client only after full payment is received, unless otherwise stated.
What clients get:
A licence to use the final approved work for the agreed purpose (e.g., branding, marketing, print, packaging, website, etc.).
What I retain:

Copyright of all created work

Rights to show non-confidential work in my portfolio, website and social media
If you require exclusive rights or need the working files (e.g., PSD, AI, RAW photos), this must be agreed separately and may involve an additional fee.
10. Photography Terms
For photography projects:

RAW files are not supplied unless agreed

Minor retouching is included; extensive retouching may incur extra fees

Location, model or property permissions must be provided by the client

I am not responsible for site-specific restrictions or limitations
11. Cancellation & Refunds
If a client cancels a project:

Deposits are non-refundable
-
Work already completed will be billed at the agreed rate

Files or partial work may not be released unless paid for
If I must cancel for unforeseen reasons, a refund (full or partial) will be provided for any work not delivered.
12. Liability
I am not liable for:

Loss of profits, revenue, or business
-
Errors in final work that were approved by the client

Issues caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client

Third-party failures (printers, hosting, platforms, suppliers)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the value of the project fee paid.

This site may contain external links. I am not responsible for their content, policies or actions.
14. Privacy
Your personal data is handled according to the Privacy Policy available on this site.
15. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date will always reflect the latest version.
